In our third year of operation, Arizona Revolution Soccer Club,  Anthem's  member owned and operated youth soccer club continues to evolve and progress.  Here are some of the highlights from a very busy 2018.

  •  Arizona Revolution leads a national initiative to introduce high performance technology within a competitive youth soccer club.
  • Anthem Community Center (ACC) raises our club priority and allocates Revolution prime soccer fields 1,2 and 3.
  • New team structure - Juniors, Academy and Select.
  • New program for aspiring competitive players - Juniors (U7/U8).
  • 6 of 9 Select teams promoted: 2006, 2007, 2008 Select girls and 2006, 2008 Red and White boys teams moved up a division in Port of Subs League.
  • 90% of Academy Teams with winning records and excellent tournament performances.
  • New staffing structure with several coaching staff performing administrative responsibilities for Academy Scheduling, Tournaments, Tryouts etc.
  • Third night of training provided as a supplement for all age groups - Extra Training -3-4 week blocks throughout the season.
  • New volunteer roles added, including strategic committee, finance coordinator, fundraising coordinator and volunteer coordinator.
  • Fully funded formal coach certification program offered in conjunction with Dessert Elite and Phoenix Rising FC Youth Soccer through United Soccer Coaches.
  • Weekly goalkeeper training program for all keepers in Academy and Select programs.
  • Live Games - viewing parties at Rosati's and Grand Canyon University.
  • Summer Camp program with coaches from Tetra Brazil and Coerver.
  • Upgrades to club communications, including integration of sportsengine (practice and game notifications), website redesign, Revolution TV Channel and social media development.
  • Club spirit wear program introduction and numerous fundraising efforts.
  • Golf Charity Scramble moved dates and location to Trilogy Golf Club.
  • New subcommittees including coaching committee, strategic planning committee and marketing.
  • Introduction of classroom training sessions, including video analysis and tactical sessions.
  • New player assessment program, including twice a year written assessments and parent-coach-player meeting opportunities.
  • New equipment purchases and introduction of team sponsors.
  • Executive Director and Director of Coaching, David Newbery moves from RI in February to AZ to commence his duties.
